About Our Rabbitry
BORN AND RAISED IN DICKINSON, NORTH DAKOTA I am a small breeder that wanting to improve the breed to make a better pet, brood, or maybe show bunny. I do not raise them for the money as fees are only a fraction of what it cost to have a rabbitry. I am obsessed with bunnies and truly love each and everyone of them. Raising bunnies grew out of my love for all animals and a introduction to the Holland Lop that started with a pair of little lovable tootsies. It started as a passion and grew into an obsession. My daughter turned 18 and these lops became my children. |
Information
(remember this is my preference) * Cage/hutch make sure its large enough to allow your bunny to run * I use ( a corner litter tray with a wire tray on top with paper shreds. * I use water bowls that attach to cage. *Fresh hay daily - I order from rabbit hole. Pellets are from Blue Seal home Fresh Show Hutch Deluxe 17 from Tractor Supply but can be ordered on line. I use organic spring mix, bananas, apples in small amounts (only at 4-5 months). A bunny has two kinds of poop soft clusters(they eat these for digestion but you will still see some) and hard firm balls. Some rusty red/orange and darker pee is fine as long as its not all the time. Orange and red usually means they are protein dumping an getting to much protein. * food feeder. * wood chew toys * nylon tunnels- they love these *comb for a cat is what I use & pet nail clipper. * I recommend buying " Holland Lop Rabbits" by Ann L. Fletcher- very informative book. |
